No sooner had I dismissed my FCE extra lessons class on Saturday morning than I realised, to my horror, that my printer at work wasn't ...working. I pressed and pressed the power on button but nothing happened. I double checked the connection making sure that the plug was still firmly in the socket and it was. As I was about to call my IT technician, it finally dawned on me that I'd better unplug the printer, count to ten, and then re-plug it! Aren't I a genius? The printer was on , at last, and I managed to print a review test for Monday.
This is where I'm blogging from.
I was very proud of myself because I managed to reset the printer on my own without calling Athos - my IT technician. Once home, I realised that I had forgotten to defrost the chicken, so there was nothing to cook for lunch. I wish I hadn't declined Alkis's offer to get me a new microwave oven when the old one broke down! At 1:00 pm , Alkis arrived home. I was in the kitchen trying to come up with a..."wow". idea for lunch when I heard him say: "Honey, I'm starving! What's for lunch?" I plucked up courage and said: " This is a surprise!!!" The surprise was wholegrain penne in tomato sauce. Alkis loves pasta and he thought my penne romano served with a greek salad was the perfect greco-italian lunch! Phew!!! I was relieved.
My kitchen looks nice and tidy, doesn't it?
In the evening, Alkis and I celebrated my 56th birthday at the Golden Bay Beach Hotel. My birthday is on April 4, but on Fridays I come back home from work quite late and have to get up early on Saturday mornings for my extra lessons, so we thought we'd celebrate on Saturday. It was a memorable evening! I had smoked salmon for starters which was served in the shape of a rose and decorated with red hearts. It was a work of art! For main course, I had my all-time classic and favourite: grilled king prawns and chips served with a lemon and olive-oil sauce. And then .... what a surprise! A chocolate birthday cake arrived and all the staff at the restaurant and the beautiful singer of the home band sang "Happy Birthday" to me. Alkis and I took so many photos of this memorable evening. Alkis gave me a new camera and, I must admit, I haven't figured out all the settings yet. Unfortunately, I deleted, by mistake, all birthday celebration photos and videos!!!
I know those rooms. I am so proud of you doing all those things "magically". Too bad you lost all your photos. I would love to have seen them. Happy Birthday to my wonderful "sister" and friend. I love you. One day we will celebrate our April Birthdays together!!!

Ohhh yes! We must celebrate our April birthdays together one day! Such a pity I lost all the photos and videos. It was a silly mistake...

Pity you lost your photos but at least all's well that ends well.

I was really frustrated when I realised I had deleted all my photos and videos by mistake, but I was very pleased and relieved to see that all went went well at the end of the day.
