Christmas Decorations 2013

Since I was a little girl, I've been looking forward to decorating for Christmas. Back then, we used to put up a natural Christmas tree on Christmas Eve and not before because it was believed that evergreens would bring bad luck if  they decorated our homes before Christmas. As fir trees are scarce in Cyprus, my dad would always bring home a pine tree, he put it up in the living room and then all the family together would decorate it.

I am the creative author of this Christmas arrangement which decorates my study room at home.

Nowadays things are different. Decorating for Christmas starts as early as mid November. I always put up my christmas decorations beginning of December. Last weekend, I decorated the school and yesterday I spent all morning decorating the house. Ah well, this year I did not decorate the bathroom!!! Decorating for Christmas is only a small part of the Christmas Spirit but it is also an important part of the festive cheer for the celebration of Jesus' birthday.
