Online shopping can be as interesting and exciting as shopping on the high street. One of the greatest advantages of online shopping is that you can find a wider selection of goods at much lower prices. I personally love shopping in general - both online and on the high street but , considering my limited free time, I'd rather shop online since I can do that any time. Online shops never close, you see! One of my favourite online shops is Amazon. Searching for products on Amazon is one of my favourite things to do on a Saturday afternoon. It's easy, entertaining and intuitive! By analyzing your search history, buying history and the current item you are viewing, Amazon finds for you related products which might suit your interests. On Amazon, you also have the choice to:
(a) purchase the product new from Amazon
(b) purchase the product new from an independent seller
(c) purchase the product used from an independent seller
Paying on Amazon is extremely easy. It takes you 3 clicks to check out and pay once your credit card and address are stored on the site. They also have a one-click ordering system which makes paying even faster and easier.Shipment is also fast and very reliable. I've been shopping with Amazon for the last 5 years and have always received my purchases in perfect condition within the date limits.
Ebay, on the other hand, is much cheaper, especially if you are willing to buy second-hand or reconditioned goods. But judging from my own experience, unlike Amazon , ebay is very unreliable as far as shipment overseas is concerned. What's more, their packaging is simply miserable!
There are some experiences, however, that you just can't replicate online. For example, shopping for the perfect outfit for a special night out or choosing just the right colour of lipstick is something worth spending a day shopping on the high street.
What is interesting about the two services is that, at the core, Amazon is a store while eBay is still Internet classified ads. This means that Amazon curates most of its content, which is new, and eBay manages mostly third-party buyers selling used products. However, both increasingly have third-party retailers selling new products in their services and Amazon increasingly has used options, suggesting that they are both increasingly competing for the same buy.

I LOVE Amazon.com. I do not go to Ebay ever. I want quality and I know I can trust what I purchase from Amazon. LOVE IT!!!

I find amazon.com very reliable and wouldn't change it for any other service.

I once purchased a ceramic vase on ebay for only £8. It arrived cracked! I sent it back, of course, but it took them ages to replace it. Since then, I've never shopped with them again. I've been doing my online shopping on amazon.co.uk for the last 3 years and have never regretted it.

Amazon is a pretty good place I think. So easy, so reliable and for the most part, so fast.

On ebay you can pick up great bargains, that's why I love it!Amazon.com ships to Canada with lots of restrictions, that's why I hate it! :-)

I find ebay much cheaper than amazon.com. For me, new arrivals on amazon are quite expensive although they have good sales and discount offers.

I am not a great fan of online shopping although I have got some books and dvds from amazon.com. I really love shopping downtown, I guess I need to feel, touch or smell before buying something. And I'd never buy shoes or clothes without trying them on first.
