For yet another year, Valentine's Dinner at the Golden Bay Beach Hotel was a very special event set in the Les Etoiles Restaurant. The Maître d'Hôtel, Mr Kyriacos Shiakallis, led us to our table. He is by far the best Maître D' in Cyprus! After a long day at work, I loved the red rose offered to the ladies and greatly enjoyed the romantic atmosphere and the great Greek love songs by Natasa and her father Doros!
The Executive Chef spoilt our palates with his cooking which I really loved despite a small problem: my fillet steak was well done. Ah well, unlike most Greek Cypriots I can't eat a fillet steak which is well done! I love it medium to rare or just rare or blue but NOT well done! I didn't eat the meat but loved the starters, the vegetables and those amazingly tasty "fondant" potatoes of the main course. The dessert was simply.... a loving sin!
I really enjoyed a night out on a ...school night!
You're a sweet pair all the time :-) I bet you both had a great time spending your Valentine's day. My husband and I are gonna celebrate it with dinner tomorrow...couldn't make it in a weekday night.

My husband and I don't celebrate valentine's Day but I am really glad you and Alkis had such a great night out. The food looks fantastic!

I was at work on Valentine's day when I received a rose and an unsigned Valentine's card inviting me to dinner at my home address! When I got back home from work, I realised that my husband had cooked dinner for us which he served in the candlelit dining-room. At first he served the wine and then went on to say that the kids had already eaten dinner and gone to bed! It was my best Valentine's day ever!

I had a great time too on saint valentines day. I don't usually stay out late on weekdays but that was an exception and did not regret it at all. I may be single right now, but I really enjoyed hanging out with some good friends and celebrating. First we had a drink in a cosy bar and then dinner at one of Amsterdam's best Mexican restaurants. I had tortillas with vegetables and cheeses and lots of beer to celebrate. Thank God I didn't have a hangout the following day! :-)

Oh Anastasia, how can you eat fillet steak with the blood in it? Although I am a meat lover, I could never eat a steak which is not very well done. Anyway, what really matters is that you and Alkis enjoyed your Valentine's night out.
