The Christmas Tree In My Office
I admit to being a Christmas freak. I love everything about Christmas: the sparkling decorations, the presents, the carols, the food.... So, by the end of October, I start making plans about my Christmas decorations both at the school and at home. December 1st is normally the official decorating day. It's the only day of the year I enjoy listening to the rain and singing Christmas Carols during the whole decorating process. I decorate every single room at home including bathrooms. Christmas decorating usually takes me the whole day. But at the end of the day, I sit back - happy and content- I light a fire and all my Christmas candles. This is also the only time of year I don't mind stormy nights. On the contrary, I love them as being part of Christmas weather!
The Christmas Tree in my Classroom
Weatherwise, this year feels Spring in December. When we have about 27*C (80F) at midday and 16*C (60F) at midnight, when we can still enjoy a meal outdoors, when we are still practically in summer clothes , I can't feel the Christmas spirit. Yet, Christmas is round the corner - whether the weather says so or not! So, I eventually got over my disappointment and decorated the school and home with.... a slight delay. I am now enjoying a glass of Chablis at the vernada but I am determined not to allow the weather to spoil my Christmas!
Your trees are lovely and your Christmas Spirit is too : )I need to send you some of our cold weather-and you need to send me some of your Christmas Cheer-I haven't been inspired to decorate this year-but seeing your trees may be exactly what I needed : )

I wish we had some of your sunshine! It's been freezing and wet here but we haven't had much snow yet. Your trees are gorgeous, by the way. Hope to decorate mine at the weekend.

On Sunday,it was 28C in Limassol. I went shopping at The Mall - it was really fun watching all those people doing their Christmas shopping in their shorts and T-shirts. Let's hope that we'll have some rain and colder weather by Christmas. Love your trees! The children decorated our tree end of November. They said that if we put up the tree, maybe winter will come!!!

Christmas Downunder is never white. Snow has rarely fallen if ever on this date. We have during past Christmases experienced all the seasonal variations.....electrical storms, floods, hailstorms, cyclones and bushfires. But 80% of the time we are blessed with blue skies and depending on our Australian location, temperatures ranging from 25-38 degrees centigrade. Currently it is Summer and daily temperatures range from 30-40 degrees centigrade on the mainland. On Christmas Day,we gather in back yards, have beach parties or picnics in parks and gardens.

As always, your trees are so beautiful! In this summery weather I didn't feel in the mood for decorating, but I hope to put up my tree on Saturday. I've ordered a natural tree this year - not sure if this is a good idea if the warm weather continues.

Wow! Oh Christmas Tree! They're all so beautiful but I think the loveliest is the one at your home. Amazing! If you lived nearer, I'd ask you to decorate mine.

Well, it seems that your trees are not only beautiful, they are miraculous as well! :-) They brought us rain and Christmas weather! Hope you enjoyed the stormy day today and the drop in temperature.
