The Pros
- Shops are open any time unless the website is under construction.
- No crowds!
- You can enlarge any item and see every single detail - something which is not always possible in badly-lit crowded shops.
- All it takes to buy the desired item is just a few clicks and if you are a repeat client..one click is enough.
- You never wait in a queue at the cash desk!
- While comfortably sitting back in your favourite armchair, you can browse through hundreds of items within minutes!
- Good online shops are so reliable!
- The Internet Visa Card makes online shopping such a great pleasure. Use it to shop online safely!
- There are NO unpleasant shop assistants!
- In some online shops you can even try on clothes using an avatar!
The Cons
- You can't touch or smell what you buy - that's why I never buy perfumes online!
- Your credit card might be stolen by a third party. That's why the Internet Visa is so safe and everyone can get it.
- You can't ask questions on the item you want to purchase.
- If your credit card doesn't work....they don't accept cash! Yet some online shops accept cheques.
- You can't strike a bargain!
- Bad computer resolution can be misleading.
- You can't buy fresh fruit from Florida let's say if you live thousands of miles away!
My Favourite Online Shops
I actually prefer online shopping, it's convenient. Because of my size, the only item I won't buy online is clothes. Shopping for clothes is a major problem for me, they have to fit me just right so I have to try them on before making a purchase.

What a great post. I shop online a lot. Cosmetics, coffee, shoes, even furniture. I think your cc data is never safe, online or offline. I have a low-limit credit card especially for online purchases, if it gets hacked, it's not the end of the world.

Although I have occasionally purchased services online, I have never bought anything else like clothes, books cds, dvds etc. I don't like shopping in general, anyway. Such a loss of time! Shipping often costs a lot, so why not use that money for other purposes?

I do most of my shopping online and have never regretted it. I buy clothes, shoes, handbags and other accessories, dvds, and food. I also love shopping cosmetics at http://www.beautyshop.gr On http://forthnet.gr you can find all the online shops in Greece. For Greece and Cyprus, shipping doesn't really cost a lot and many eshops offer free shipping on special offers.

I find online shopping very convenient and I often buy things from ebay - they have great things for the home and good prices too. But for clothes or shoes I'd rather try them on.

I enjoy online shopping from time to time and I mostly purchase books, DVDs and music downloads as I can have them immediately on my computer.

I'd rather not disclose my credit card information on the Internet. So I don't shop online. Besides, I really enjoy going off on a shopping spree once in a while.

I always use my Internet Credit Card when I shop online. The limit is set to zero and whenever I want to purchase something online, I log into my bank and transfer the exact amount of money I'd like to use to my Internet card.

Well I've recently purchased 2 jumpers, one pair of shoes, a skirt, a set of sheets and a T-shirt from http://www.llbean.com - that's in the USA. I paid $180 including shipping and €30 customs taxes!

I by books and technology online, but I would never buy shoes or clothes unless I've tried them before and know exactly what I'm getting. I like to feel the fabric and see the actual fit before I buy!

I never try on clothes .... I know this can be a bit of a problem at times but just thinking of how many women tried on the same item puts me off.

Credit cards can be 99% safe both online and offline. I use my internet card online and I have a pin for offline credit cards.
