I am the kind of person who likes trying new things, so I didn't hesitate to try the brand new TypePad a couple of weeks ago. I must admit that I switched to the old TypePad as I felt a bit lost. The truth is I didn't really have time to explore it then. So, I thought I'd give it a second try. This time I was literally thrilled! Here are 38 reasons why I love the new TypePad:
1. It's cool.
2. It's fun.
3. It's so easy to use after all.
4. TypePad Connect allows my friends from other blogging platforms to follow me and read my blogs while at the same time I can read theirs with just one click!
5. It's an amazing tool of communication as threaded comments allow great conversations.
6. I can easily reply to my commenters separately whenever I am online.
7. I can have a very clear view of my stats.
8. The integration with Facebook is super! My Facebook friends can read my blogs without having to leave Facebook.
9. You don't have to register to leave a comment.
10. The auto saved post has been considerably improved and it is to me the coolest feature ever.
11. The new dashboard is pretty much like Facebook but it's amazing as you can easily see what other people blog about.
12. You never miss a comment as it also appears on the dashboard. And we all love comments, don't we?
13. Great new look of Categories: you no longer need to hold down Ctrl to insert multiple categories to a post. Scroll down and check the ones you wish to insert.
14. The TypePad people are always very willing to help in real time.
15. Feedback from other users can be extremely constructive.
16. You can create a Typelist much faster now as you no longer need to configure.
17. Creating a new photo album is a piece of cake on the new TypePad.
18. The Library is yet another great feature.
19. The new drop-down menu on the dashboard allows you to perform common actions in the blink of an eye as well as pass from one blog to another very easily. I have 4 different weblogs on TypePad and in the old version it's a bit time-consuming to move from one weblog to another.
20. The image-builder has been improved. It often used to cause my page to freeze in the old version. Not any more. Also no more error messages appear.
21. Fabulous one-click new designs.
22. Great new look of the Design feature: more practical and easier to use.
23. The new profile allows people to learn more about me, my activities and my other blogs
24. The new TypePad has already broadened the horizons of the blogsphere and it's only the beginning.
25. It's good value for money...hoping that pricing won't go up!
26. Blogging on the new TypePad is a sheer pleasure...to such an extent that it can become quite addictive!
27. The new Rich Text Editor has been improved : no more "Done but with errors on page"
28. When previewing a new design (theme / layout) you can actually see what your blog will look like.
29. More posting options such as adding a greater variety of keywords at the bottom of your post.
30. User pics can now be added to comments.
31. The new dashboard allows you to have an overall idea of what is happening on TypePad without having to check your email first.
32. Blogging remains TypePad's main concern thanks to the easy access to the Compose page.
33. Excellent spam filter
34. You can still use some html to personalize comments if you wish.
35. The Internet is surely the most amazing tool of communication. The new TypePad has been exploring all its resources.
36. Your opinion matters!
37. Your voice is heard!
38. Most importantly, the new TypePad has offered the world a unique blogging experience that many other blogging platforms certainly envy.
I am beginning to feel rather uncomfortable on Blogger - there have been quite a few bugs recently - and it takes ages to post photos even the ones hosted by Picasa! But I am honoured to be your guest author on Cypria.

Constantine mou, don't look a gift horse in the mouth and be patient! And believe me it's my own pride and joy to have you as my guest author on Cypria. Thanks for everything!

I have tried many different blogging platforms so far but gave them up after a while. I don't know why but when I start a blog I feel very enthusiastic but after a while I tend to get bored. Depending on my mood I can blog every single day and then stop for 3 months! I like Live Journal but I could not think of 38 reasons why!!! A feature I like a lot there is the drop down menu of an awesome variety of ..moods!And the easy access to media like videos. Happy blogging!

Making money from blogging requires you to do only two things: drive a lot of traffic, then maximize the income from that traffic. Not sure if the new typepad can help people do that.

Sounds like you have cool tools over there, Anastasia. After Y360 closed down I don't have a blog anywhere so I am just looking. I think I will try typepad and see how it works because is important for me to advertise my work. I noticed that there are different price levels so I guess there are different tools for each level depending on what you pay.

Concerning your point number 9, I generally hate sites which ask you to register to leave a comment. I just hate the procedure. When I first visited your blog I liked that registering was optional. Then I decided to give it a try and I was very surprised to see that it only took a minute!

I understand that it may take longer for a free blogging platform to fix bugs, yet the product must be reliable to all users who sign up. It's been a little more than 2 weeks now that my commenters' userpics don't show up even after having re-checked the box in the comments settings and saved again. Also no one from blogspot really bothers to help. The fact that a blogging platform is free shouldn't be an excuse for the product not to work properly.
