I've been feeling a bit under the weather since yesterday - terrible chills and shivering on and off, slight headaches but ...no stuffed nose or sneezing or dizziness. It was that shivering that killed me. I was glad to make it to work yesterday and today, though and , thank God, I did not pass out in class ! Just after classes today I finally decided to see a doctor. He examined me and then said : " It's neither a cold nor flu, it's hypothermia!" My temperature had dropped to 34,5 C / 93F and my blood pressure had also dropped a little.
Hypothermia? How? Why? It's got 22*C over here, for some people in other parts of the world it's their summer ! Then the doctor wanted to know when exactly I started to have these chills and uncontrolled shivering. I had to think for a while, trying to remember. And then I did remember! It was yesterday between 10-11 am while I was at my beautician's!
"What on earth did your beautician do?" the doctor asked amazed
"Oh", I answered, "She suggested the cold mask with the three effects : hydrating, firming and anti-wrinkle. I'd be silly to say no!"
Then the doctor asked me how long that mask was on my face. Well, not long, just 25 minutes. Hmmm.... long enough to cause hypothermia considering how cold it was!
After all, the cold mask was a blessing in disguise. I may be still suffering from hypothermia but the wrinkles have disappeared!!! Now I understand why ...Siberian ladies never look their age !

I use cleanser, toner, moisturizer and eye cream daily but I've never used a cold mask. Goodness! It sounds scary! If hypothermia is a cold mask side effect in Cyprus, in my area I'd be frozen to death ! lol ! Glad to see you survived! Hope you enjoy your weekend, anyway. Take care!!!

I don't like the results of this blogthing!!! I was honest, though.
You Probably Look Your Age (At Least!)
You don't really respect your body, and that may catch up with you over time.
Relax a little and try to take care of yourself. If not, you'll have a lot of botox in your future.

Knowing what a wonderfully warm lady you are, I'm sure you'll soon get over your hypothermia. Take good care of yourself and have a great week ahead.

Sorry to hear you were unwell all because of a cold mask. I don't think you need masks like that however efficient they may be. I am looking at your profile photo right now and can't see any wrinkles! Take care.

I have never heard of a chilled beauty mask!! I am glad you are feeling better, though (I always think it is worse to be cold than hot).
I think your secret to looking so beautiful comes from inside you--you have a certain "sparkle" when I see your photos, Anastasia. I think it comes partly from your genes and partly from your personality.

I forgot to add...the wrinkles actually disappeared!!?? Are you going to get that same (chilly) facial treatment again???
Posted by: Tina | November 26, 2008 at 12:38 AM
I have never used a cold mask so far but I have used the hot one - I think it's called thermal. But thank God my temperature didn't go up! Maybe this was because I used it only in winter! I wouldn't dare to use it in the summer considering our high temperatures! Anyway, I am glad you are fine now.Take care.

Thank you all so much for your comments and your well wishes. I'm fine now.Hey Walid, I love your natural mask and I WILL try it this weekend.
Tina, thanks for your kind words - very uplifting right now. Now would i use the cold mask again ? Yes but only in the summer. Believe it or not ...the wrinkles disappeared....See? That's what "Siberia" does! lol !

im sorry to know that u had those shivering and chills, ms anastasia, but im glad that that the cold mask made the wrinkles disappeared. and u do look so much younger than than your age... but i think it is not caused by any beauty treatments or cream. it is because your goodness, positivity and beauty inside reflects on the outside and thats what makes u so beautiful.
have a great day and takecare always. :)

Thank you for your kind words ms Summer. Well, at least the wrinkles disappeared ...ok some of them ! However, I'm not sure I'd use that mask again except, perhaps, in the summer!
