Our national dish - Cyprus "souvla" is a variety of meats on a skewer and cooked in the "foukou". I was unable to find the English word for "foukou." You can see what a "foukou" is like in the photo above.
Our national drinks - ouzo on the rocks or ice-cold zivania similar to tsipouro. Or, if you don't like alcohol, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice is the perfect appetizer.
For us Greeks, dancing is an important part of any celebration. Opa!
