My post today is inspired by Lilac Saloon. The author of this blog posted such lovely photos of the clouds in her area that I felt like taking some new pictures of the clouds in my part of the world. The truth is that I've always been fascinated by clouds and I often took pictures of them...even while flying! The Captain on that flight, who happens to be a great friend as well , suggested that I should look at the clouds as a way to get over my fear of flying. "It's very relaxing", he said and went on to add: "There's so much beauty when flying through the clouds. Look at the beauty and forget your fear." And so I did and for a split second I forgot all about flying and concentrated on the sheer beauty of the clouds.
Aren't they beautiful? On another occasion, as I was typing a post a few years ago, I looked out the window and here's what I saw.
That was the sunset on a stormy winter day. Or should I say the calm after the storm? I wish I were an artist to draw this unique sight of black clouds going red! More often than not, clouds in Cyprus are white against blue skies or slightly grey like the ones that covered my sky for a brief while this afternoon.
Right now, I'm on cloud nine! Tomorrow will mark yet another constructive school-year which has eventually come to an end. And on Saturday I'll be lying on a beach looking at the clouds - if there are any - and enjoying my second dip in the sea.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
